The Haddington 10k Road Race was originally ran as a classic 5 mile race for over 30 years with a course record of 23 minutes 48 seconds set by John Sherban (Falkirk AC) in 1994. Since changing the race to the more popular 10K distance its record now stands at 32 mimutes 18 seconds set by Ray Ward (HBT) in 2011
The route is on country “B” Class roads outskirting Haddington. There is a sharp hill within the first 2K, otherwise this is a fast, possible-PB course.
