SUMMARY:Haddington Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Click here for entry form or here for online entry \nThe Haddington Half Marathon started as a Scottish Veterans-only race in 1982. It soon became an open event and has been host to The East of Scotland Championship on a number of occasions. The course record is an incredible 63 minutes & 31 seconds by Mike Carroll (Annan & District AC) in 1989. It would take a top class international athlete to break this course record. Visitors love the scenic East Lothian countryside in August. \nThe Half Marathon race is on country ‘B’ class roads to the south of Haddington. It is a very scenic\, undulating route with a sharp hill at 0.25 miles\, a long hill at 3.5 miles\, a sharp hill at 7 and 9.5 miles. There are long flat sections. Although the course is described as undulating it boasts one of the fastest times in the country. \nBoth race starts and finishes at Neilson Park\, Haddington. Registration and entry on the day are also in Neilson Park. Numbers are collected on the day. \nHaddington Half Marathon Course
